Christmas of the Century

This last Christmas turned out to be the year of spoiling Emily. I'm still shocked at the incredible gifts I received from my family.

First off, with a little begging, Brian let me combine Christmas, baby and a little savings of my own to purchase a new lens I have been oggling over for a while. I really wanted to have it before the baby comes and it has already gotten PLENTY of good use(see above post).

My parents gave me the surprise of the century when they showed up with the most incredible sewing machine I have ever seen. This thing practically does all the work for me! It even embroiders. They knew I wanted to get some projects done before the baby comes, so I got it a little early and had to keep the secret from my sister and sister-in-law(also receiving the machine). I've been having a hayday sewing anything I can think of for the baby. I'm certainly no pro(I spend half my time unpicking), but I'm learning and constantly looking for new projects I can make, or things I can embroider the boys names on. It's too bad I don't know our little girl's name yet or it would probably be on just about everything as well.

The last big surprise came from Brian's parents on Christmas morning. We all received a card which we opened at the same time letting us know we were all going to Disneyland in a couple months! We've been fortunate enough to go the past two years and I can honestly not get enough of that place. I absolutely LOVE it and I can't wait to go with the whole Bitner clan. In my opinion, it truly is "the happiest place on earth!"

The boys were of course spoiled as usual. I think they are still on toy overload. There is only so much control I can have over their 6 sets of grandparents(all of which are married to their original spouses).

Brian didn't do so bad himself, with his favorite purchase being his new droid X.

We feel so blessed and I'm just overwhelmed with graditude for the generous family members we have.
